Renowned designer Jayanti Reddy has established her brand on the principle of showcasing exquisite craftsmanship, seamlessly merging traditional handwoven textiles with elaborate embroidery and elegant silhouettes. Her latest collection, titled 'The Gilded Era,' continues this tradition, offering a sophisticated yet understated interpretation of luxury that resonates with both heritage and modernity. The collection emphasizes traditional techniques such as zardozi and intricate threadwork, but these elements are reimagined with a focus on lighter constructions and more streamlined silhouettes, allowing for a fresh take on classic designs.
On the runway, actress Aditi Rao Hydari made a stunning entrance in a radiant gold-and-beige couture outfit that epitomized Jayanti Reddy's signature style—timeless, romantic, and deeply embedded in Indian artistry. The ensemble featured a strapless peplum bodice characterized by its sculpted shape and plunging neckline, adorned with detailed zardozi embroidery, sparkling sequins, and delicate beadwork that shimmered with every movement. Instead of the conventional lehenga, Aditi opted for a voluminous sharara-inspired skirt that contrasted beautifully with the structured bodice, adding a sense of fluidity to her overall look. The muted gold color palette ensured that the craftsmanship remained the centerpiece, allowing each embroidered detail to stand out.
