Kavinsky, Iconic French DJ, Passes Away at 50 in Paris Home

Kavinsky, the renowned French DJ and musician celebrated for his iconic electronic track "Nightcall," has tragically passed away at the age of 50. His real name, Vincent Belorgey, was known to many fans around the world, and he was set to celebrate his 51st birthday this coming Friday. The Paris prosecutor's office has confirmed that an investigation is currently being conducted to ascertain the exact cause of his untimely death. Reports from the French newspaper Le Figaro suggest that a police source indicated a stroke may be the suspected cause. It was noted that Belorgey had recently experienced headaches, prompting a concerned neighbor to contact emergency services. Upon arrival, authorities found no suspicious circumstances at his residence, leading to further inquiries into the situation.

Kavinsky's journey in music began in the early 2000s, and he made a significant mark with the release of his debut EP, titled Teddy Boy, in 2006. His career took a remarkable turn when he had the opportunity to open for the legendary French electronic duo Daft Punk during their 2007 tour. However, it was the release of "Nightcall" in 2010 that truly catapulted him to fame. This track, co-produced with Daft Punk's Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, became a global sensation, especially after it was featured in the opening credits of the critically acclaimed 2011 film Drive, starring Ryan Gosling.
