Raja Chaudhary Explains His Choice of Flat Over Daughter Palak Tiwari

Raja Chaudhary has recently addressed the controversy surrounding his decision to prioritize a flat valued at Rs 93 lakh over his daughter, Palak Tiwari, amidst his divorce from Shweta Tiwari. This revelation comes after Shweta claimed that Raja opted for the property instead of seeking custody of their daughter. As part of their divorce settlement, Shweta was required to transfer ownership of a one-bedroom flat, estimated at Rs 93 lakh, to Raja. In return, Raja agreed to finalize the divorce and relinquish any claims to Palak's custody, a decision that has sparked considerable public interest and debate.

In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Raja shared his perspective on the situation, recounting the timeline of their separation that began in 2007. He expressed frustration over the lengthy legal proceedings, stating that he felt Shweta had not made a significant effort to attend court sessions, while he consistently showed up for every scheduled date. Raja emphasized that although the court had permitted him to meet Palak at a designated location, Shweta often failed to bring their daughter to these meetings. He described the emotional toll this situation took on him, leading to a sense of desperation as he struggled to secure stable housing amid ongoing legal battles. Raja explained that he felt overwhelmed and exhausted, stating, “I was fed up. I didn’t want anything. No one was even willing to rent me a place.” He clarified that the flat in question had originally been purchased by his father when he married Shweta, and they had been jointly responsible for its mortgage payments.
