Tom Holland's latest superhero adventure, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, is generating significant excitement in India ahead of its release, with advance ticket sales reaching impressive heights. The film, produced by Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures, has reportedly amassed over Rs 85 crore in pre-sales for its extended four-day opening weekend, positioning it as one of the most anticipated Hollywood releases in the country. Industry analysts suggest that this film could potentially surpass the long-held pre-sales record set by Avengers: Endgame, which has remained unchallenged for nearly seven years. The demand for tickets has been overwhelming, particularly for premium formats, with multiplex chains experiencing a surge in sales, indicating a strong start for the superhero sequel.
According to data from Sacnilk, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has achieved remarkable success in advance bookings, making it the second-highest pre-seller for a Hollywood film in India. Approximately Rs 45 crore of the total has been generated from ticket sales for the opening day alone, while the remaining amount has been collected over the subsequent three days of the extended weekend. The previous record-holder, Avengers: Endgame, had garnered around Rs 90 crore in advance bookings during its three-day opening weekend in 2019. The current Spider-Man film is also on track to challenge the opening day record set by Avengers: Endgame, which grossed around Rs 65 crore on its debut day.
