In a notable appearance at the Commonwealth Games, 16-year-old para cyclist Lisha Das represented India in the women’s C4-C5 4,000m individual pursuit qualification round. Unfortunately, she finished in sixth place, marking her as the last competitor in this event. Lisha, who is the youngest member of the Indian delegation and the sole para-track cyclist from the nation to qualify for these prestigious games, clocked a time of 6:58.000. This performance translated to an average speed of 34.450 km/h, which fell significantly short of the leading athletes in the competition. The qualification round was dominated by Australia’s Tara Neyland, who achieved an impressive time of 4:45.796, securing the top position.
