The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has officially published the final merit list for the MHT CET 2026, which is crucial for students seeking admission to undergraduate engineering programs. This list is now accessible on the designated Centralized Admission Process (CAP) portal at fe2026.mahacet.org. The merit list has been meticulously compiled, taking into account the candidates' performance in their Class 12 examinations alongside their scores from the MHT CET. Included in the final merit list are essential details such as the candidate's name, application ID, MHT CET percentile score, state merit rank, and category merit rank if applicable. Additionally, for candidates applying through the All India quota, the JEE Main merit rank is also provided, along with information regarding reservation categories, relevant dates, and eligibility status for admission.
With the final merit list now available, the CET Cell is set to initiate the choice filling process, allowing candidates to select their preferred BTech programs and institutions. This process is scheduled to take place from July 28 to July 30, 2026. Following this, the results for the CAP Round 1 seat allotment will be revealed on August 2, 2026. Candidates who have successfully completed their registration and document verification are encouraged to check their individual state and All India merit ranks, which will play a pivotal role in the seat allotment process under the CAP framework. To view their merit ranks, candidates can log in using their application number and date of birth, ensuring they have access to their specific rank details.
The merit list has been finalized after addressing and resolving any objections that arose during the provisional phase, paving the way for the counseling process to advance to the CAP Round 1 option entry stage. The CET Cell has commenced the choice filling for Round 1, where candidates must carefully select and prioritize their preferred courses and colleges through the online portal. These selections are critical, as they will directly influence the seat allotment process, which is determined by factors such as rank, category, preferences, and the availability of seats. It is imperative for candidates to fill out their choices with diligence and ensure they are locked in prior to submission. Those who receive seat allotments will be required to confirm their admission and follow subsequent procedures, including reporting to the designated institute in accordance with the established guidelines.
