Recent financial disclosures from US President Donald Trump have shed light on the management of his substantial wealth, revealing that prominent Wall Street institutions are responsible for overseeing investment accounts totaling at least $858 million. This figure represents a significant increase from the approximately $237 million reported in 2024, highlighting a remarkable growth trajectory in Trump's financial portfolio. According to an analysis conducted by CNBC, four major firms—JPMorgan Chase, Charles Schwab, UBS, and Stephens Inc.—are tasked with managing at least four of Trump's eight disclosed investment accounts, indicating a strategic reliance on established financial entities to handle his investments.
The latest disclosure also points to a notable uptick in trading activities within Trump's investment accounts, which recorded over 21,000 transactions in 2025 alone. This is a stark contrast to the roughly 500 trades executed during his entire first term as president from 2017 to 2021. Trump has consistently maintained that he does not personally manage these investments, stating last month, "I don’t get involved… We have funds that run my money." The Trump Organization has corroborated this claim, emphasizing that Trump's assets are held in fully discretionary accounts, allowing external financial firms to make independent decisions regarding portfolio management, trading, and investment strategies. Many of these accounts utilize automated direct-indexing techniques designed to minimize potential conflicts of interest.
