Using Ask GPay AI to Analyze Spending and Save Money

Google Pay has introduced a new feature called Ask GPay, an AI-driven assistant designed to help users analyze their spending habits and manage their finances more effectively. This innovative tool allows individuals to inquire about their transaction history, providing insights into their recent expenditures, identifying patterns in their spending, and offering general tips for better money management. Currently, this feature is being rolled out to a select group of users in India, with plans for broader availability in the future. However, it's important to note that Ask GPay does not facilitate payments, transfer funds, or provide regulated financial advice, ensuring that users can utilize it purely for informational purposes.

To take advantage of Ask GPay, users must enable the Personalisation setting within the Google Pay app. This feature is turned off by default, so eligible users will need to activate it during the initial setup process. By enabling this setting, Ask GPay can access relevant information from the app to tailor responses to individual users. If users find that the feature is not visible after enabling personalisation, it may be due to the phased rollout by Google. In such cases, updating the Google Pay app might help, but access ultimately depends on Google's deployment schedule.
