Three Foreign Nationals Deported from Bali for Visa Violations

Traveling internationally requires careful planning, and one of the most crucial aspects is selecting the appropriate visa. Bali has recently underscored the importance of understanding visa regulations by deporting three foreign nationals from India, Singapore, and China for breaching Indonesian immigration laws. The incident serves as a reminder for travelers to be aware of the specific purposes and restrictions associated with their visas to avoid legal complications.

The three individuals, identified by their initials as AKG from India, RN from Singapore, and ST from China, were found to be working in Bali despite holding tourist visas. AKG and RN were employed as yoga instructors in Badung Regency, while ST was engaged in machinery installation and staff training at a factory in Karangasem. Indonesian immigration officials clarified that their activities were not permitted under the terms of their Visa on Arrival (VoA) and Visa-Free Visit (BVK) permits, which are designated solely for tourism. As a consequence of their actions, authorities are considering placing these individuals on a blacklist, effectively barring them from re-entering Indonesia in the future.
