Although Jordan reported that all five ballistic missiles were intercepted, US President Donald Trump issued a stern warning, stating that American forces would retaliate decisively against Iran. 'They’re going to get a beating,' Trump told Fox News, indicating that his administration was considering further military actions against groups aligned with Iran in the region, particularly in Iraq.

On the ground in Iran, reports emerged on Wednesday afternoon of a missile strike in the West Azerbaijan province, although there were no casualties reported. In a related incident, Israel announced that a drone launched by Hezbollah, the Iran-backed Lebanese militia, targeted an Israeli military vehicle in the occupied southern region of Lebanon. Meanwhile, the Houthis, aligned with Iran and based in Yemen, have intensified their attacks on Saudi Arabian oil facilities and vessels linked to Saudi interests in the Bab al-Mandeb Strait. In response, the US and Saudi forces conducted joint operations against Iran-aligned factions in Iraq, resulting in the deaths of at least 20 combatants. The situation continues to escalate, with Iran's deputy foreign minister for legal and international affairs, Kazem Gharibabadi, publicly rejecting a proposal from Oman for a 50-50 management split of the Strait of Hormuz, asserting that Tehran would not recognize any US-backed routes in the area.
