US Senate Moves Forward with Sanctions Bill Targeting Russia's Oil Buyers

The United States Senate has taken a significant step by advancing a comprehensive bipartisan sanctions bill aimed at curbing Russia's energy revenues. This legislation, known as the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026, received overwhelming support with a vote tally of 86 in favor and 12 against, marking its successful passage through an initial procedural hurdle.
