One of the most affected locations is Janpath Market in Connaught Place, where the relentless rain caused water to flood into numerous shops. Traders were left scrambling to safeguard their goods as visuals from the scene depicted streets submerged in water and storefronts overwhelmed by the deluge. In another striking incident, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Jarnail Singh was spotted navigating the flooded streets of Tilak Nagar in a boat, underscoring the severity of the waterlogging crisis in his constituency. This unusual sight quickly gained traction on social media, with videos showcasing the MLA's unconventional mode of transport through the inundated roads. AAP Delhi chief Saurabh Bharadwaj shared the footage, taking a jab at the Rekha Gupta government by captioning it with a playful reference to “Venice Vibes,” indicating the extraordinary circumstances faced by the city due to the heavy rainfall. The situation has drawn attention to the inadequacies of the city’s drainage systems, as many areas continue to struggle with water accumulation.
