In the wake of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest that concluded on July 25, the focus has shifted to the controversial 'Resignation Party' held by the CJP, which has garnered significant attention over the past day. The protest, which took place at Delhi's Jantar Mantar, was aimed at demanding the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan, the former Union Education Minister, in response to the NEET paper leak scandal. Following the protest, the CJP announced the end of their demonstrations, asserting that the government had promised no repercussions would be faced by the protesters from the Delhi Police. However, shortly after this announcement, the CJP became embroiled in controversy as footage surfaced showing party leaders and volunteers celebrating their resignation at a hotel, with several key figures, including spokespersons Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das, prominently featured in the clips.
The backlash against the CJP's celebration was swift, with notable criticism coming from YouTuber Meghnad. His remarks have since gone viral, highlighting his discontent with the CJP for seemingly neglecting the needs of the protesters who had been left behind in Delhi. Meghnad expressed his frustration in a video, stating that he and a few others had been using their own resources to assist the abandoned and hungry CJP volunteers and protesters. His comments resonated with many, as he pointed out the stark contrast between the celebratory atmosphere of the party and the dire situation faced by those who had dedicated themselves to the protest. He emphasized that while the CJP leaders were enjoying their celebration, over seventy protesters were left without food or support, illustrating a disconnect between the leadership and the grassroots supporters.
