BJP Leader Nanakdeen Bhurji Dies Under Mysterious Circumstances in Lucknow

Nanakdeen Bhurji, who served as the state general secretary of the BJP's Backward Class Morcha and held a previous position as a state minister, tragically passed away after falling from the seventh floor of the newly constructed MLA residence located in Lucknow’s Darulshafa. The circumstances surrounding his death have raised questions, as his younger brother has filed a police complaint alleging murder. However, investigators examining the scene have indicated that the evidence leans towards suicide, and the inquiry is currently ongoing.

Bhurji's political journey began in humble beginnings as a low-ranking employee within Uttar Pradesh’s state property department. His career took a significant turn when he crossed paths with Mulayam Singh Yadav, the founder of the Samajwadi Party. Yadav recognized Bhurji's influence within the Other Backward Classes (OBC) community and his unwavering commitment to his work. It is reported that Yadav encouraged Bhurji to leave his government position in exchange for a ministerial role, an opportunity Bhurji eagerly accepted, leading him to serve as a state minister in the Samajwadi Party government. However, his relationship with the party soured following the Amar Singh controversy, during which Bhurji allegedly made remarks against Yadav at Singh's behest, effectively closing the door on his future with the Samajwadi Party.
