India's prospects for the 2026 Commonwealth Games (CWG) have significantly improved, particularly in the boxing arena, where the nation is poised to add at least nine medals to its tally. This surge in potential accolades comes as six Indian boxers have successfully advanced to the semi-finals of their respective weight categories, thereby guaranteeing them a minimum of a bronze medal. The athletes who have reached this pivotal stage include Ankush Panghal in the Men's 80 kg category, Narender in the Men's 90 kg, Jadumani Singh competing in the Men's 55 kg, Sachin Siwach in the Men's 60 kg, and a trio of women boxers: Sakshi Chaudhary in the Women's 51 kg, Preeti Pawar in the Women's 54 kg, and Arundhati Choudhary in the Women's 70 kg.
