The explosion occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 2 AM, at the residence of a local farmer named Murugayan, situated in the Lakshmipuram area. The local police reported that the victims suffered severe burn injuries as they attempted to manage a fire that had erupted in their thatched home. The situation escalated quickly, leading to a chaotic scene as neighbors rushed to help extinguish the flames and evacuate the family from the burning structure.
