Delhi Technological University (DTU) has recently launched two innovative executive education programs aimed at enhancing the skills of working professionals in the fields of clean energy and corporate sustainability. These programs are a collaborative effort with the edtech platform VCnow and are facilitated through the university's Centre for Technology Enhanced Learning (CTEL), which operates under the Department of Digital Education. The newly introduced courses include the Advanced Programme in Renewable and Sustainable Energy Management and the Leadership Programme in CSR, Energy & Corporate Sustainability. The renewable energy program commenced with an orientation session on July 12, while the leadership program held its academic orientation on July 19, as reported by PTI.
These executive programs are structured as six-month courses that utilize a blended learning approach. Participants can expect a combination of live online classes scheduled every Sunday, a three-day campus immersion experience, six comprehensive academic modules, and the opportunity to engage in a capstone project that integrates their learning. The inaugural cohort features professionals from various countries, including India, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates, representing a wide array of industries such as power generation, electricity distribution, energy storage, manufacturing, green finance, higher education, and defense services. Prateek Sharma, the Vice-Chancellor of DTU, emphasized that these programs are designed to foster lifelong learning and to cultivate expertise in the rapidly changing clean energy landscape. He noted that the courses align with the goals set out in the National Education Policy (NEP) and contribute to the broader vision of Viksit Bharat.
