The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has officially announced the eligibility results for the Excise Constable recruitment for the year 2026. Candidates who submitted their applications for this position can now verify their eligibility status by visiting the commission's official website at upsssc.gov.in. A significant number of 32,891 candidates have been successfully shortlisted to participate in the subsequent phase of the recruitment process, which is the Mains Examination. This selection was made based on the candidates' normalized scores obtained in the UPSSSC PET 2025 examination, which serves as a preliminary assessment for various posts under the commission.
In addition to the announcement of shortlisted candidates, the commission has also released the cut-off marks that vary according to different categories, reflecting the minimum qualifying scores established for each group. For candidates belonging to the General category, Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), the cut-off score stands at 69.13 marks. Meanwhile, the cut-off for the Scheduled Caste (SC) category is set at 66.80 marks, while candidates from the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category needed to achieve a minimum of 52.86 marks to be considered for shortlisting. Those candidates who have successfully made it through the eligibility test are required to pass the Mains Written Examination, which will consist of 100 objective-type questions, each carrying equal weight, totaling 100 marks.
