Thalapathy Vijay's film, Jana Nayagan, is maintaining a strong presence at the box office, even though it experienced a notable drop in earnings on its second day of release. The film, which opened to enthusiastic audiences and impressive figures on its debut, saw a significant decrease of 50.5% in collections on its second day. Directed by H Vinoth, this political action drama is being touted as Vijay's last film before he fully transitions into a political career. On its second day, the movie grossed Rs 21.15 crore net in India, bringing its total net collection to Rs 63.85 crore after just two days. Despite the decline, the film has successfully surpassed the Rs 100 crore mark globally within this short timeframe. According to the latest estimates from Sacnilk, Jana Nayagan's Day 2 earnings reflect a sharp contrast to its opening day, which saw a net collection of Rs 42.70 crore. The film's gross collection in India has now reached Rs 75 crore, showcasing its strong performance despite the drop in daily earnings.

In terms of international performance, Jana Nayagan has also made a significant impact, adding Rs 10 crore gross on its second day, which brings its total overseas collection to Rs 37.50 crore. Overall, the film has garnered an impressive worldwide gross of Rs 112.50 crore within its first two days. The Tamil version of the film has been the primary driver of its earnings, collecting Rs 17.95 crore on Day 2, with a total of 6,304 shows and an occupancy rate of approximately 44%. The Hindi dubbed version contributed Rs 1.85 crore, while the Telugu version added Rs 1.35 crore to the overall tally. The film finally premiered in theaters on July 23 after a prolonged wait, marked by several delays and anticipation due to its certification issues. The promotional campaign emphasized that this film could be Vijay's last before he fully dedicates himself to politics, which has heightened interest among fans and audiences alike.
