Delhi Police Forms Special Task Force to Address Exam Paper Leaks

In a significant move to combat the rising concerns over examination integrity, the Delhi Police have established a Special Task Force (STF) within their Crime Branch. This initiative comes in response to increasing instances of paper leaks and other related offenses that have sparked widespread public outcry, particularly in the context of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). The formation of the STF has been officially sanctioned under the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, as confirmed by the police commissioner. This strategic step aims to enhance the efficiency and thoroughness of investigations into various recruitment and entrance examinations managed by central agencies.

The newly formed STF will have a broad mandate to investigate offenses associated with exams conducted by several key organizations, including the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), and the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs). Additionally, the unit will oversee examinations administered by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) and the National Testing Agency (NTA). The order specifies that the STF will also address cases linked to recruitment tests organized by various ministries, departments, and their subordinate offices within the central government. This comprehensive approach is designed to tackle the multifaceted issues surrounding exam integrity and ensure that all related offenses are thoroughly investigated.
