Delhi Schools Adapt to Traffic Restrictions with Hybrid Learning and Transport Changes

In response to the traffic restrictions imposed by the government across the National Capital Region, numerous schools in Central Delhi are adjusting their operational strategies, opting for hybrid learning models or modifying their transportation arrangements. The recent protests led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) have further complicated the situation, prompting educational institutions to act swiftly to ensure that students can continue their studies with minimal disruption. For instance, R S Junior Modern School, located on Humayun Road, has notified parents that classes for students from Nursery to Class 5 will transition to a hybrid format starting July 24. This approach will combine both online and in-person learning, a decision made in light of the current circumstances affecting Central Delhi. The school has emphasized the importance of maintaining a regular schedule, urging students to participate in online classes via Microsoft Teams while dressed in their school uniforms. Additionally, the school has confirmed that its bus services will continue to operate according to the usual timetable, ensuring that transportation remains available for those who require it.

Similarly, Sardar Patel Vidyalaya in Lodhi Estate has adapted its teaching methods by conducting online classes on Tuesday and Wednesday, with plans to resume traditional in-person instruction on Thursday. The school has communicated to parents that its buses will follow their standard routes and schedules; however, it has also advised guardians of students living in areas impacted by the ongoing traffic disruptions to coordinate with school transport personnel. This is crucial as the routes may be modified for safety reasons, reflecting the heightened security measures surrounding the protest sites. The adjustments made by these schools are a direct response to the significant traffic congestion and delays caused by the government's decision to close several Metro stations for extended periods, which has further exacerbated the challenges faced by commuters in the region.
