The National Testing Agency (NTA) has embarked on a significant reform initiative by announcing the recruitment of four General Managers and 16 young professionals. This move marks the initial phase of a comprehensive overhaul aimed at enhancing the agency's operational efficiency and effectiveness in managing examinations. The reforms are a direct response to recommendations put forth by the High-Level Committee of Experts, which is led by the esteemed Professor K Radhakrishnan.
The NTA plans to appoint dedicated General Managers for various critical areas, including Assessment Research and Psychometrics, Test Centre Network and Operations, Information Security, and Vigilance, Investigation and Forensics. These strategic appointments are designed to bolster the agency's capabilities in managing examination processes, ensuring cybersecurity, overseeing test centre operations, and conducting internal investigations. Additionally, for the first time, the NTA will recruit 16 young professionals through the UPSC’s Pratibha Setu portal, with a focus on enhancing academic research and supporting legal and financial functions within the agency. Twelve of these new recruits will be assigned to academic research roles, while two will contribute to the legal and finance departments, thereby strengthening the agency's institutional framework.
