This hearing comes nearly nine months after a tumultuous final that saw Senegal and Morocco clash in a match filled with drama and controversy. Senegal is appealing against the decision that awarded Morocco the championship title, a ruling that has sparked significant outrage among fans and officials alike. The hearing will take place at CAS's headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland, and will be conducted behind closed doors. The controversy originated from the AFCON final held in January in Rabat, where Senegal initially believed they had clinched a 1-0 victory after extra time. However, the match took a chaotic turn during stoppage time when Morocco was awarded a contentious late penalty.
