WhatsApp Web Introduces Voice and Video Calling Features

WhatsApp has unveiled a significant update that has been highly anticipated by its users. Accompanying his announcement was a screenshot of a call he had with Meta's CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, showcasing the new capabilities in action.

In addition to enabling voice and video calls, WhatsApp Web has introduced a call transfer feature, which allows users to seamlessly switch an ongoing group call between devices without the need to disconnect. This enhancement aims to provide greater flexibility for users who frequently switch between smartphones, desktops, or shared computers. Previously, users were limited to making calls exclusively through the dedicated WhatsApp mobile applications. With this latest update, however, users can initiate calls directly from the web interface, making it more convenient for those who rely on work laptops or shared machines where app installations might be restricted.
