Kanwar Yatra 2026: Dates, Routes, and Significance of the Pilgrimage

The Kanwar Yatra is recognized as one of the most significant and extensive religious pilgrimages in India, attracting millions of devotees of Lord Shiva, referred to as Kanwariyas. This annual event takes place during the auspicious Hindu month of Shravan, also known as Sawan, when these devotees embark on a sacred journey to collect holy water from the Ganga River.
