A recent promotional initiative by a real estate company has sparked significant controversy after it claimed that purchasing residential plots near Tirupati would entitle buyers to a 'Lifetime Srivari VIP Break Darshan' at the revered Tirumala temple. This assertion has drawn the ire of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), the governing body of the temple, which has categorically refuted the claims and taken legal action against the developers involved. SCP Developers, the company behind the advertisement, had utilized social media platforms to promote their plots, suggesting that buyers would gain exclusive lifetime access to the temple's VIP darshan, a highly sought-after privilege among devotees. The promotional campaign quickly gained traction, leading many to mistakenly believe that the TTD had sanctioned this offer, which was further fueled by claims from company representatives who allegedly contacted potential buyers, asserting that they had an official partnership with TTD to provide such benefits.
In response to the uproar, TTD issued a statement on July 28, 2026, firmly stating that it has no affiliation with SCP Developers or any of their marketing efforts. The temple administration emphasized that only the trust has the authority to manage darshan tickets and oversee pilgrim services according to established regulations. TTD further clarified that no private entity has the right to promise or facilitate any form of Srivari darshan, highlighting the seriousness of the situation. The trust expressed concern that the advertisements not only misled the public but also exploited the religious sentiments of devotees, leading to confusion regarding the authenticity of such claims. Consequently, TTD has filed a police complaint against SCP Developers, signaling its commitment to addressing the misleading promotional tactics employed by the company.
