Government and CJP Engage in Talks Over Exam Irregularities

A significant dialogue took place on Friday at Delhi's Vithalbhai Patel House, where representatives from the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) met with government officials to address pressing concerns regarding exam irregularities. This meeting is part of ongoing efforts to resolve the demands raised by the CJP amid widespread protests related to the NEET-UG examination paper leak. The government delegation included Union Health Minister JP Nadda and Minister of State for PMO Jitendra Singh, while the CJP was represented by spokespersons Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka. The CJP has articulated three primary demands, with the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan being the most prominent. The protests have intensified as the CJP seeks accountability and action from the government regarding the issues surrounding the examination process.

During the discussions, the government indicated a willingness to consider two of the CJP's demands, specifically the provision of compensation for the families of NEET aspirants who tragically took their own lives and the withdrawal of FIRs and legal actions against students involved in the protests. CJP spokesperson Saurav Das conveyed optimism about the government's response, stating, "The government has asked for time until tomorrow afternoon regarding our demand for Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation. We remain hopeful that the government will act swiftly in this matter." The CJP has made it clear that their protests will persist until tangible actions are taken to address their concerns. The meeting lasted nearly two hours, during which the CJP also presented five reform suggestions aimed at improving the examination process.
