The National Testing Agency (NTA) has recently announced the opening of applications for several high-level positions, including General Managers and Young Professionals, as part of a significant organizational restructuring. This initiative aligns with the recommendations made by a high-level committee led by Professor K. Radhakrishnan, aimed at enhancing the agency's operational efficiency and effectiveness in conducting assessments across the nation. The NTA's move to recruit for these roles is seen as a strategic effort to bolster its capabilities and ensure that it meets the evolving demands of educational testing in India.
Specifically, the NTA is looking to fill four General Manager positions on a contractual basis, each with an initial tenure of three years. The roles include General Manager for Assessment Research and Development and Psychometrics, who will oversee the agency's academic functions and measurement science, including the management of item banks and the development of methodologies for normalisation and calibration. Candidates for this position are required to hold a Doctorate in Psychometrics, Educational Measurement, Statistics, or a related field, along with at least twelve years of post-doctoral experience, including five years in a senior leadership role within a national or international testing organization. Other General Manager roles focus on managing the test center network, information security, and internal vigilance, each with specific qualifications and responsibilities that reflect the complexity and importance of these positions in maintaining the integrity and security of the testing process.
