A woman from Bengaluru has ignited a significant discussion surrounding customer safety after alleging that a delivery agent from the quick-commerce service Zepto made repeated attempts to enter her residence without permission. This alarming incident, which she recounted in a now widely circulated Instagram video, has raised serious concerns among social media users, many of whom are advocating for enhanced safety protocols from delivery services. The woman detailed that the unsettling encounter occurred shortly after she placed an order through Zepto. Upon delivering her items, the agent reportedly requested a bottle of water, which she provided, but the situation quickly escalated into an uncomfortable ordeal.
In her video, the woman expressed that after handing over the water, the delivery agent persistently asked if he could come inside her home for “just five minutes.” Despite her repeated refusals, he allegedly continued to press the issue, making her feel increasingly uneasy. Concerned for her safety, she decided to secure her main gate. However, the delivery agent did not leave; instead, he rang the doorbell several more times. When she finally opened the door to confront him, he allegedly reiterated his request to enter her home. The woman described the experience as “terrifying,” stating that it left her feeling deeply unsettled. She mentioned that she has informed Zepto about the incident and shared her video account of the events, although she has not yet filed a formal complaint with the police.
