The Faculty of Medical Sciences at the University of Delhi has officially announced the opening of applications for candidates who have qualified in the NEET UG 2026 examination. This invitation specifically targets those applying under the Children/Widows (CW) category for the 85 percent Delhi Quota seats allocated for undergraduate medical programs. The document submission phase has begun in advance of the upcoming NEET UG 2026 counselling, which is a crucial step for students looking to secure their places in various medical and allied courses such as MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, and BHMS, all of which are offered through institutions affiliated with Delhi University. Candidates who fall under the CW category are required to upload their supporting documents via the online portal established by the university. This portal has been accessible since July 22, 2026, and will remain open for submissions until July 29, 2026, at 5 PM.
In accordance with the official communication from the Faculty of Medical Sciences, the verification of documents has commenced in preparation for the NEET UG Counselling 2026. This initiative follows directives received from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), which operates under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, as well as the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). It is imperative for candidates seeking to benefit from the CW category reservation to ensure that they submit all necessary documentation within the specified timeframe. Not adhering to this deadline could jeopardize their eligibility for consideration within this category during the admissions process. The CW category is designed to provide reservation benefits to the children and widows of defence personnel, as outlined by the priority categories established by Delhi University for admissions under the Delhi Quota.
