Kiren Rijiju Urges Opposition to End NEET Protests and Engage in Dialogue

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has expressed frustration over the ongoing disruptions in Parliament caused by opposition leaders, particularly Rahul Gandhi, regarding the NEET paper leak issue. Speaking to the media after yet another day of parliamentary interruptions, Rijiju emphasized that the government has been ready to discuss the matter for several days. He urged the opposition to allow the debate to commence instead of continuing to obstruct proceedings. Rijiju noted that despite the government's willingness to engage in dialogue, the Congress party has shown a lack of interest in addressing the NEET controversy through constructive discussion.

The minister highlighted that for five consecutive days, the Parliament has been unable to address the NEET paper leak due to the opposition's protests. He pointed out that even when Rahul Gandhi was present in the House, the opportunity to initiate a debate was squandered. Rijiju remarked that the Congress party's actions indicate a disinterest in resolving the issue at hand. He also referenced Sonam Wangchuk, a prominent activist among the protesters, who recently ended his hunger strike and called for a dialogue on the matter. Rijiju stressed the importance of focusing on practical solutions for students rather than politicizing the situation.
