Honda ADV 160 Launches as New E85-Compatible Adventure Scooter in India

Honda has officially unveiled the ADV 160 in India, marking a significant addition to its lineup of adventure-style maxi-scooters. This new model is particularly noteworthy for its 157cc liquid-cooled engine, which is designed to run on E85 fuel, a blend that contains up to 85% ethanol. Although the scooter has been presented as part of Honda's premium two-wheeler offerings, the company has not yet disclosed any details regarding its availability or pricing in the Indian market. The ADV 160 stands out not only for its unique design but also for its array of modern features and advanced hardware that distinguish it from the more conventional scooters currently available in the country.

The construction of the ADV 160 is based on an underbone frame, which is complemented by telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers that come equipped with external reservoirs. This setup is designed to enhance the riding experience, providing better handling and comfort on various terrains. The scooter is fitted with a 14-inch front wheel and a 13-inch rear wheel, both of which are shod with block-pattern tyres, ensuring optimal grip and stability. For safety, the ADV 160 is equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, and it comes standard with dual-channel ABS, which adds an extra layer of security while riding. The model also boasts a range of features that cater to the modern rider, including full-LED lighting, a digital instrument panel, and Honda's Smart Key technology that allows for keyless operation.
