The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has successfully credited the annual interest for the financial year 2025-26 into the provident fund (PF) accounts of its members. Many subscribers to the EPF scheme have begun to notice the interest reflected in their passbooks starting from July 15. This annual interest is a crucial aspect of the EPF scheme, as it not only enhances the savings of the employees but also serves as a financial cushion for their future. For those who have not yet seen the interest credited to their accounts, there are several steps they can take to verify the status of their EPF interest. It is essential for members to stay informed about their account status, especially during the interest crediting period, to ensure that they are receiving the benefits they are entitled to.
To check if the interest has been credited, members can utilize the EPFO passbook portal, which is the most straightforward method. To access this service, users need to visit the official EPFO passbook website. Upon arrival, they will be required to enter their Universal Account Number (UAN), password, and the captcha code to log in. It is important that the UAN is activated and linked to the member's mobile number for this process to work effectively. After successfully logging in, members should select the Member ID associated with their current or previous employer. The passbook will then display all transactions, including contributions made by both the employee and employer, along with the annual interest credited. Members should specifically look for the latest entry that indicates the interest for FY2025-26.
